2 Months

My two little twins are two months today!!!!  We have officially been home from the hospital for a month and are loving every second of being together as a family 24/7!  We are incredibly lucky to have these sweet little ones.

The twins are eating 7 times a day: 6AM, 9AM, Noon, 3PM, 6PM, 10PM and 2AM.  This means we feed them before going to bed and only waking up once in the middle of the night for the 2 AM feeding!!!  Love that they are on a great schedule and more importantly on the same schedule as each other.  Our favorite times of the day are 9AM and 6PM because this is when they are the most awake and happy.
Most mornings Ryan gets up a little before 6 and takes a shower.  We go get the twins around 6AM and feed them and they go right back to bed.  They wake up around 8:45 and I change diapers and feed them.  Then play-read a book, practice tummy time, sing songs, kick, squeal and if its nice we go for a walk!  Around 10:15 they go down for a nap.  Wake around 12 and feed, change diapers and play again until 1.  Nap from 1-3 and again feed, change diapers and play.  If I need to get out of the house or run an errand I usually do it during the 4-6 nap time.  Ryan is home when they wake up at 6PM and we give baths, feed, change diapers and play.  At night we also have a little dance party and read them a story before bedtime at 7:30.  We do a dream feed at 10PM before we go to bed.

They are officially out of Preemie clothes and in Newborn!  Both still wearing Newborn size diapers.  Graham got circumcised this past week and was such a big boy!  The twins also had their first overnight at Mimi and Pop's lake house.   Last month the only place I went with the twins was the Dr...now I take them all over with me.  We have been grocery shopping, to the mall and out to eat a few times!  We get alot of attention wherever we go!

Graham:  You currently weigh 9 lbs!!!  You are getting to be such a big boy!!!  You are our 0-60 baby.  You are either the sweetest, most mellow baby...or you are hot headed and mad!  You usually wake up starving and fussy, but as soon as you have a full belly you just relax and are so sweet and snuggly!  You are eating around 3 oz bottles at each feeding.  You are getting really good at tummy time and starting to smile which melts our hearts every time.  You love playing with your sister, love music and snuggling with me and daddy.  You still LOVE your paci and Wubbanub!

Ellie: You currently weigh 8.5 lbs.   You are still the most patient little girl EVER!  You have to be the worlds easiest baby...makes having twins very easy.  You sleep great at night and would probably be sleeping through the night if we didn't wake you up at 2AM when Graham wakes up ready to eat.  You usually stay awake during one nap a day, but you just lie in the crib wide awake.  You love looking at bright colorful objects and haven't smiled yet, but you are very animated still.  Your eating a little less than 3 oz at each feeding.  You love being on your tummy so  much the minute we try to do tummy time, you fall asleep.  You can actually fall asleep in any position at any time.  You are not a big fan of the paci, but are trying to figure out how to suck your thumb which is adorable!

I wish I could bottle up this age for later.  You are both just so sweet and still so tiny.   Although you are both tiny you have more than doubled in size!!!  Hope you don't continue to grow quite so fast.  Everything you do is adorable- sneezes and yawns are my favorite! We are excited about the summer months to come- late night walks, pool play dates and trips to get frozen yogurt!  We have so much fun with you and I know it will only get better as you get older!!
