The day before Graham and Ellie's birthday I took in #2 Rice Krispie treats to their school! Ellie doesn't have a big sweet tooth like I do, but she does like these "treats" as she calls them. They were so excited to see me come in their class and sit down to eat lunch with them. The best part was their faces while we sang happy birthday!
The next day was their actual Birthday. Ryan and I got them adorondak chairs to match ours for outside. They also got a few gifts to open.
We woke them up with our annual balloon fight!
Before breakfast we opened a few gifts.
Ellie got a pair of ballet shoes.
And the broom was probably the biggest hit.
Ellie loves doing her ballet!
Bobo loves Chuggington and he got this train carrying case!
Ms Holly gave them Birthday cups to open on their actual birthday.
Ryan made special pancakes that we ate on the plates Ms Rachel gave them!
We then got dressed and headed to Discovery Place and lunch uptown. For dinner we went out for pizza. The kids love playing kid photo hunt while we wait!
Our kids rarely get sweets, but I have never seen someone soo excited about a cupcake before!
Although she is smiling in this pic she wanted nothing to do with this cupcake and immediately asked for her pizza back haha!
What a fun day of laughter and time together! I thought I would be so sad when they turned 2, but they are just so much fun at this age that I don't have time to be sad! Hoping this next year goes by really slow and we can soak up every moment again!
