Kicking off summer right!

Ok I swear I am back and will start blogging on the regular again....in the meantime let me catch up!  We have been loving summertime!  We started summer off with heading to Kiawah right after the last day of school party!  Our teachers this year have taught the kids so much and taken the best care of my sweet 4 year olds!!!
Of course we will miss our besties and crossing our fingers they will be together again next year!
This was such a sweet class.
We arrived at the beach late afternoon and threw on our suits and had dinner on the beach!  I was so excited to be there I didn't take a bunch of pics the first night.
We have been practicing our letters and brought some activities to help kids stay entertained in our small condo while we made breakfast each morning.
One of Ellie's favorite things to do is use these cheap sponge brushes to give me a manicure.
We "cooked" lots of food with sand.
Ellie and Bobo love each other and for the most part play very well together.
Ryan and I were even able to relax for a while watching them play!
 Dolphin watching!
Bobo is very into golf and begs to play all the time so we set aside an afternoon for the boys to play while Ellie and I went shopping!
We all met up for dinner and live music on the green.

Ellie is a very adventurous eater and constantly wants a little of everyone else's food:)
Our normal ice cream place closed so we found a new one and it was just as yummy!

We were able to met up with one of my college friends and listen to some live music.
Does it surprise anyone that Ellie was front and center??
 Early morning puzzles!
Another day, another cute matching suit!
Ryan spent hours making elaborate sand castles with the kids...he is just a big kid himself sometimes!

When Ellie doesn't sleep with Bobo she insists on having a large number of friends to keep her company!
I could just watch these kids sleep for hours.
Ellie and I are both a fan of the prosciutto, apple, brie and fig sandwich at the local deli!
After dinner and baths we went to get ice cream in our pjs!  It is so easy to please 4 year olds!
This guy slept like a rock at the beach.  We tried not to let him sleep past 8:30, but he was out cold one morning and just kept rolling over and falling back asleep!

Luckily a few of our favorite friends were on the island for Memorial day too so we met up for a cookout one night.

It makes my heart so happy to see these kids get along (and get in trouble) just like their parents!
Once again the wildlife in Kiawah did not disappoint.  We saw lots of deer and were able to see one very up close one night.
We got a late check out on the last day and soaked up some beach time before grabbing lunch and heading home.
Vacations require a lot of planning, money and packing, but the memories made with the 4 of us away are priceless.

We are now counting down the days until our next vacay together!!!
