G and E 6 Months!

My babies are 6 months old today!  What a fun stage this is too!  For once I am excited you are a month older.  You have grown and changed so much over this past month, but we are absolutely loving this age!  The best part is you are really starting to notice and interact with each other.  This is so entertaining!!  You guys are both not crazy about bottles, but really really good "real" food eaters!  So far we have tried sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, butternut squash, cantaloupe, kale, broccoli, figs and grapes.  I make all of your food myself.  You both help by being good little babies while we go to the grocery store and farmers market for all the fresh ingredients!  We also just got a Vitamix and it is amazing for making your food!  We made kale, broccoli and fig(fresh from our fig tree).  We didn't even steam or cook the kale or broccoli.  We put all the ingredients straight in the blender and you guys ate it all!  So glad we have two babies who love to eat!

Our schedule these days:
7AM wake up.  You both usually wake up really happy and just rolling around sucking your fingers and babbling until we come to get you up. You guys drink a 6 oz bottle and then watch TV in your bobby pillows while Mommy drinks her coffee and prepares food/bottles for the day.   We play and sometimes go on a walk during this time.  You are both morning babies!  You take a nap from 9-10:30/11.  You wake up and drink a 4 oz bottle.  We change clothes and usually go run errands during this time.  You drink another 5 oz bottle around 12:30.  We play a little while and read books.  You nap again from 1-3:30/4.  You drink a 4 oz bottle when you get up and most days meet our friends at the park or pool.  Sometimes if Daddy is going to be home before 5 we stay home and play with him!  You both still fall asleep on the way home from the park or occasionally take a rest in your crib from 5:30-6 if your fussy and tired.  At 6PM we feed you real food.  Then we take baths and you drink another 6 oz bottle before bedtime at 7PM.  You are still great sleepers!

It is becoming harder to get a good pic of both of you at the same time....apart is no problem.  These days you want to look at each other or get easily distracted hah!

Ellie:
Nicknames- E, Bug, Peanut and Sissy...and Crazy Girl!
You have become So.Much.Fun! You are still very good and very laid back.  You are eating 20-22 oz a day.  You are still in size 1 diapers and just now starting to outgrow size 3 month clothes and fit into some 6 month stuff.  You have the best little personality and it is really starting to come alive!  You are not as bubbly in public, but at home you are such a little Ham! You're babbling and laughing a lot!  You are very ticklish- just like your Daddy:)  You love books and I think Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is your current favorite.  You are also very strong.  You LOVE to stand up.  I can hold your hands and you can balance on your own.  We will prop you up on the ottoman or the ExerSaucer while Graham is in it and you will last for 5-10 min without unlocking your knees hah!  I am a little fearful you will walk before you even crawl!  You have also found your feet and are constantly grabbing them when I try to change your diaper.  You are still little Miss Independent!   You are better about drinking your bottle, but are almost able to feed it to yourself which makes my job so much easier!  You are starting to like real food too!  You are also our little trouble maker.  The other day we heard Graham fussing while y'all were playing in your room.  When I walked in to see what was wrong you had a grin on your face and Graham's ear in your hand...little stinker!

 Graham:
Nicknames- G, Gram Bam and Bubba.
You are eating about 24-26 oz a day and lots of food.  You love just about anything I feed you!  You are still in size 1 diapers and starting to grow out of your 3month size clothes and fit into some 6 month sizes! You are teething now and constantly sucking your fingers and drooling.  You do what we call the "wolfpack" suck and suck your middle two right fingers.  You put everything in your mouth and I honestly worry about you being dehydrated from drooling so much!  You don't like teething, but are still just the sweetest little boy.  You are still not a fan of your bottle....cry off and on the entire time.  We are hoping you grow out of this acid reflux/heartburn soon!   I think you are just liking real food...."Forget the bottle Mom...give me a cheeseburger!"We took a few trips this month and you still HATE the car...cry a lot in the car!   You love books and Brown Bear, Brown Bear is your favorite.  You get really excited when Daddy comes home from work, which I know makes his entire day!  Working Dad's have to love the day when their children start to notice when they arrive home in the evenings!  You love water and the bath! You are still my sweet little snuggler and I hope you stay that way for a long time!
Here are some cute outtakes:
" Sissy's fingers taste good too." Graham
"Theres that bow I like so much again" Graham
"Hey don't pull out my bow...and suck your own fingers" Ellie
"Are we done taking pictures? Can we play now?" Graham.  It also looks like Ellie is plotting something mischievous and whispering it to Graham!  Oh Lord do I have my hands full with these two!!
Still hard to believe that y'all are half a year old.  Love you both so much!!!
