We fed them their 9AM bottle and threw them in the car. We pulled out of our driveway at 9:15 which put us in Raleigh around 11:45. Both kids did pretty good in the car and Graham did lose it the last 20-30 min, but way better than the previous car trips! I climbed in the back of the car after G fussed for a little while to feed him....here is my sleeping beauty....
and my "I really don't like being in the car...please hold me Mommy" little boy...
Since the rest of our crew wouldn't be at the tailgate for an hour we decided to stroll through campus and visit the bookstore first to let the kids get out of the carseats for a little while. We strolled through the free expression tunnel.
and did some shopping at the bookstore....
Then we headed to the tailgate lot! E played in the exersaucer in Ryan's trunk while we set up the tailgate...she thought this was really funny!
After we got set up our friends arrived! We had the twins and baby Lainey (7 months) and Leighton (3 years old). People walking by probably thought we were running a daycare haha!
They played great together....or beside each other haha!
We were trying to be laid back and not stress/worry about a schedule or naps, but Graham was sucking his fingers and looking tired so I put some blankets in Ryan's trunk and laid him down....sweet boy fell right asleep and took a 45-1hr nap!
So glad he got a little sleep cause he was one happy boy!
Caroline and I tried to keep food easy and make stuff we could do in advance! I made these football deviled eggs and some ham and cheese rolls. She made some yummy dips and desserts and these amazing crock pot meatballs!
Loved seeing our sweet girls playing together....future college roomies like their mommies!
John held Graham for a while and Leighton smiled and went and sat in Ryan's lap...so sweet and maybe a little bit jealous of all the babies taking the attention!
Graham will eat anything....including Caroline's necklace!
This little one was all smiles all day!!! She has turned into a Daddy's girl lately.
Our kids LOVED watching the jumbotron...big TV haha!
Touch Down!!! NC State scored lots of touchdowns- thank goodness!!
Sweet Leighton was such an angel...we didn't hear a peep out of all 4 kids the entire game, but this one impressed me the most!!
We found these hilarious burp clothes on Etsy. Graham's says "I'm too handsome to be a Tarheel" and Ellie's says "Sorry for spittin' up, thought I saw a Tarheel"
Graham fell asleep for about 30 min during 4th quarter:)
and so happy after he sleeps- this boy needs his sleep!!!
Here is the 8 of us....not a great pic, but only one of all 8! We lasted until mid way through the 4th quarter...then it was getting close to dinner time and we didn't want to push the kids too much. I am still SHOCKED they lasted that long!!! So proud of all 8 of us for attempting and making it through an entire game!We went back to the tailgate and fed all the kids and changed them into pjs for the ride home. We ate dinner and hung out for about an hour...still can't believe they were up and happy at this point.
Love how both Lainey and Ellie wore red bows all day with their game day gear and switched to white to match pjs...I swear Caroline and I didn't plan this!
Graham fussed first 20 min of the ride home until we realized he needed a diaper change! After that they slept...pretty quiet and boring ride home for Ryan and I, but well worth it! We got home around 10 PM and laid them down in their cribs and they slept like normal until morning!Sunday they were a little off schedule. Woke up a little early from naps and a little fussy by the end of the day. Today (Monday) they are right back to their sweet selves!
