Then he requested pizza in the bus at Mellow Mushroom.
He didn't have to share a pizza with Ellie! He did ask where she was a few times because he forgot she wasn't with us. He was so sweet and kept asking to bring stuff home (like leftovers) for her to have.
And we were so lucky to have Ellie's God Mother keep her while we were gone. I got lots of sweet pics of her while we were away. Here she is reading a book to my sweet God son.
She played games.
Decorated cookies with friends.
And then she had her turn for a special date. I will admit Ryan and I picked the Nutcracker for her. She loves the book and all she kept saying was she wanted us all to wear something fancy and go on a fancy date.
She was mesmerized by the costumes, music, story and ballerinas. She has already asked to go again and take Bobo next time.
Ellie loved the performance...although she made a point to whisper to me every time something didn't add up exactly like it does in the book.
We had 30 min to waste between the show and dinner reservations so we went to Starbucks and she got a hot chocolate in her own cup...toddlers are so easy to please!
And for her fancy dinner we took her to Roosters to get their meat and cheese platter...and french fries and gelato of course. This girl loves blue cheese and salami haha! Bobo was napping for the first part of the time we were gone and Ryan had taken his that morning to the candy store and to rent a new movie to watch with the babysitter. He loved having a sitters attention all to himself too.
I can't tell you how special these dates were for all of us. Even though we had moments of guilt and wishing they were both enjoying a moment or treat, it was so good to do different things and spend quality time with them.
