July 4th Weekend

Thursday night we met some friends for drinks at dinner at Charlotte Country club.  Rose on an adirondack chair while watching people finish a round of golf is my idea of unwinding!
They have Gluten Free fried oysters!  I have gotten them the last 3 times we have eaten there because I never get fried food!  They are to die for!
The next morning we took the kids to the pool.  It was overcast and drizzling so there was not another person there.  We had the best pool day!  After an hour Ryan left to play golf and I stayed and played and ate lunch with them there....still not another person to be found haha!

We bought a few new movies lately so when they woke up from naps we popped some popcorn and got into pjs early!
On Saturday we spent the morning cleaning out closets.  We have been slowly looking at houses since the beginning of the year and I know it is going to take some time to get out house ready to sell and packed up so we decided to get a head start now!  After naps we went to our friends house to celebrate July 4th!  This is the first 4th we haven't been at Sunset Beach with the Lippard/Lee/Walker crew.  So sad to miss!
We still had a great time though, Emily is my creative artsy friend and she pulled out all the stops for this get together!  We all had glasses and personalized water bottles.

Since we do not have a garage we don't have one of these and ever time we are at someones house who does this kid is obsessed!

Emily has these amazing windows along the back of her house and she bought gel stickers for the kids to put on them....so cute!

This one loves a good cup!
It warms my heart to see these three together.  They make each other so happy and they just play so well together!
Ridley joined in on the twin talk and they all got a kick out of it....we had no idea what was so funny, but the giggles were endless.

After dinner (and melted ice cream) we gave them a bath.
I thought taking a good picture of two was hard haha!

The Dads joined in on the fun after baths with putt putt.

We are so blessed to live in such a great country and to have sweet friends to celebrate our freedom with.
We continued the festivities the next day with a red, white and blue breakfast.
More pool time!

Naps and snuggles from this sweet little boy.

And in honor of the Womens World Cup game we went out and bought the kids soccer balls, grilled out and watched the game.   The twinkies loved the soccer balls and constantly chanting
"U S A, U S A!"

Ryan smoked a brisket and we watched the exciting soccer game!  Go USA!
