Twinkies turn 6!

Wow this year has flown by!!!  I remember thinking they would be so big when they turned 6...cue the water works because now they are!!!  They now also remember all the fun traditions that come along with birthdays.  Getting woken up with balloons is definitely a favorite.   This year we used a lot of gold because it was their golden birthday!
Bobo you are still just the sweetest little boy ever.  You live to make others happy.  You are very much a mama's boy.  You love when Daddy goes out of town and you get to sleep with me.  Sports has become a big part of your life this year!  You love to play basketball and golf with your daddy.   You LOVE NC State (more than any of us) and would wear this red tshirt daily if I let you.  You still love Paw Patrol, Cooking shows and the movie Planes.  Legos is also a new obsession of yours.  Your best buddies are Henry, Bennett and Zach.
Ellie you are growing up to be such a beautiful and talented girl.  You love getting dressed up, cooking and dancing.  You live to make others happy and entertain them.  You are such a good and loyal friend.  Your best buddies are Caroline, Miller, and Chappell....although I swear you make more friends daily!  You love American Girl Dolls and starting to play alot with Barbies.  You make life so fun (and hard at times) and adventurous.
The twins had school on their birthday, but we woke up early to start celebrating!
Sprinkle pancakes in the number 6!
I think this was by far the best part of their day!  They had no idea we were doing this and absolutely loved it!   We had so many sweet neighbors wishing them the best day!
We got to bring them Jersey Mike's and have lunch at school.
They both picked out their own treat for school class celebration.
We told them we would take them out to eat for their birthday dinner.  They both insisted on creating a meat and cheese board and watching Space Jams instead.   So after school we went shopping for the ingredients and they created this spread.
Two favorites included a cracker with blue cheese and honey and a pear slice with goat cheese and caramel.

Every year we give them the option of receiving presents or an adventure.   They both picked Great Wolf Lodge as their adventure.

We spent most of our time on the tubes so I don't have a ton of pictures, but it was a blast!
After about 5 hours in the waterpark we showered and ate chicken salad and Doritos in our room before hitting up the candy store and arcade.

The next morning we went back to the waterpark for a few hours before showering and going to the hornets basketball game with them.  We have season tickets, but most games are late so when there is a day game we love to take them!  Overall it was a fun fun weekend!!!!  I just adore these two and celebrating them being born is such a blessing!
