Zoo times two!

This nice fall weather provided the perfect day to drive to Columbia and visit the Zoo!  Normally its way too hot there, but Fridays temps were absolute fall perfection!  This zoo is a lot different from the Asheboro zoo.  The animals are in smaller spaces which is more entertaining, but also makes it easier to walk around with two little ones.  As the kids get older their love for animals grows.  Now we are still afraid of dogs....but huge giraffes...no problem!

 Flamingos are fascinating!  Love their bright colors and how they stand on one leg!

 I mean can you believe she is scared of sweet little dogs, but will do this!

 G got very comfortable by the end and stuck his whole hand in the giraffes mouth.  Feeding the giraffes was our highlight for sure!  They are such beautiful and peaceful creatures.

 The zoo was prepping for a Halloween event and the twins loved all the pumpkins and decor around!

After the zoo it was lunch time.  We couldn't resist going to Lillians while we were in Columbia.  She makes THE WORLDS BEST chicken salad!!!  Kids loved it too!

Columbia is such an easy drive from Charlotte so we will be going back soon!!!
