The animals were a little feisty, but a few were sweet and gentle and let the twins pet them.
We opted out of the tractor wagon ride this year to get some exercise and to be able to take our time. We also timed it to where we picked apples between two tractors so there was no one else around.
Luckily we found someone among the rows of apple trees to take our family picture.
For the most part these two are good at sharing with each other. Food is something they always share. These apples were no exception.
They were cracking us up on the walk back to the car. They dragged way behind and we quickly realized why. They kept stopping and giving each other bites of their apple. After a full mornings work of picking apples we quenched our thirst with some cold fresh squeezed apple cider.
The next item on the bucket list is trying out some new fall recipes with all the apples! We plan to make an apple pie, apple yogurt oat muffins, apple butter and apple butternut squash soup with apple gruyere grilled cheese!
