Bad Photo shoot...But so much fun!

I bought the twins the cutest Halloween pj's (Ellie's pumpkin even has a gray bow like her!) and decided to get a cute pic of them wearing them the other night.  Well I didn't get a perfect picture and gave up because they were being ridiculously cute the entire time.  When I went back to try and find a good one I loved them all.  I feel like these pics show their interaction with each other and their adorable personalities!

 Attempt #2....on the floor....

These two have us constantly entertained!!!

Our Hand-Me-Down Special Outfits

When Ryan and I found out we were expecting, we both raided our parents stash of all the baby things they had saved!  The best thing was a Feltman Brothers outfit...and we both have ours and they happen to be the same size!  What are the chances we both have one of our baby outfits in the same size and same brand??  So when we found out we were having boy/girl twins I was thrilled to one day put them in these special outfits! Well I was bored today and decided to try them on.  Not only did they fit, but I got some amazing pictures of the kids wearing them.

Ellie is also wearing shoes of mine from when I was her age.

It warms my heart to see them in our outfits.  I remember when Ryan and I found them and I thought it would be forever until they would fit into them...can't believe how big and gorgeous these two have gotten!

Sitting up....almost

We are loving....absolutely loving this time of year!  We have spent lots of time outdoors soaking up this amazing weather.  And recently we have started to attempt sitting up!  We keep a pillow around them at all times and they only can sit up for a few seconds, but its so cute to watch!
The "tripod"....

He gets a little lazy after a minute....
There you go....
Little E's turn!  She is REAL proud of her self...can you tell?

Almost.....
 TaDa!!!!!
Although I am such a proud mama when they learn new tricks....this sitting up will be nice...but crawling is a game changer for this mama haha!!!

1st Pumpkins

We have a big trip planned to a pumpkin patch in a few weeks, but we wanted to go ahead and get a few pumpkins to enjoy over the next few weeks!  We dressed the kids up in one of their pumpkin outfits and headed to the local farmers market!
It was really sunny outside and hard to get a smile out of these two!

We didn't mess with carving pumpkins yet....but we decorated two to look like Graham and Ellie!
Can't wait to go again soon!!!

7 months

Our sweet babies are 7 months old today!  What a busy and fun filled month we have had!!
You are both becoming a lot more independent these days!  Also a lot more vocal and interactive!  You are getting a lot better at eating and still loving whatever we feed you!  We have added spices/seasonings to your food in attempts to get you to continue to be good eaters.  Y'all are still not crazy about sweets like fruits, but we offer them just in case.  You attended your first football game and 2 tailgates and a Breast Cancer 5k walk this month!  You surprise us constantly with how well you can behave despite being "off schedule".

Our schedule these days:
7-7:15AM wake up.  You both usually wake up really happy and are just rolling around sucking your fingers and babbling until we come to get you up. You guys drink a 6 oz bottle and then watch TV in your bobby pillows while Mommy drinks her coffee and prepares food/bottles for the day.   We play and spend some time outside playing.  I now feed you a 4oz bottle around 8:45. You take a nap from 9-10:30/11.  You wake up and eat "real food".  I also sometimes will give you 2 oz of formula if you seem really hungry.  We change clothes and usually go run errands during this time.  You drink another 5 oz bottle around 12:30.  We play a little while and read books.  You nap again from 1-3:30/4.  You drink a 4 oz bottle when you get up and most days meet our friends at the park. You both still fall asleep on the way home from the park or occasionally take a rest in your crib from 5:30-6 if your fussy and tired.  At 6PM we feed you real food.  Now you take baths together in the big tub and are starting to really like this time of night playing in the water. You then drink another 5 oz bottle before bedtime at 7PM.  You are still great sleepers!
You are obviously more interested in trying to sit up than smiling for a picture!

 Graham: Graham Bam, Bubba
You are getting so big!  You are also becoming sweeter every day.  You weigh around 16 1/2 lbs!  You have long limbs too!  We think you are going to be tall like your Daddy.  You are in size 2 diapers now and wearing 6 month clothes.  You still suck your left middle two fingers- "wolfpack style".  You can officially feed yourself a bottle.  One day about a week ago you just started holding onto the bottle and I would look over a min later and it would be empty!  You are pretty needy and lazy, but feeding yourself helps me out big time!  Yes you still hate the car!  I am waiting for you to outgrow that...please!!  You love love love to sleep...but mostly in your own crib and on your belly!  When you wake up from naps or in the morning we both fight over who gets to get you because you peak your head up over the bumper and just grin!  You love all books!  You are so cute when we read to you.  You look at the book and then at us and constantly go back and forth with this sweet smile like you are really paying attention and enjoying what we are reading.  You are still a drooling monster...your clothes get soaked and so do we!  You are teething although no teeth have come in yet.  You are also getting good at the "tripod" sitting up and getting stronger everyday.  You love any toy that plays music or doubles as a something good to chew on:) You love attention...any kind and from anyone!  When we are out and about you will smile and laugh at anybody, which is adorable.  You still don't have much hair, but we are praying you inherit your Daddy's hair.  You are still our sweet little snuggler.

Ellie:  Bug, Sissy
You are now a little fire cracker....very independent and little bit stubborn.  You are also adorable and so very entertaining!  You weigh around 15 3/4 lbs.  You are still our little peanut.  You are in size 2 diapers and size 3-6 month clothes.  You got your first tooth last week!  You have become a very loud napper.  We actually had to put you in a pack n play in the guest room a week ago because you kept waking up Graham (and we all know he needs his sleep!).  You will wake up and yell/scream for a min and then continue to sleep for the rest of your nap!?!?  The Dr said its just your sleep cycle.  Other than that you are still very very easy!  You do let us know when you don't want to do something or are mad, but only fuss when something is wrong.  That being said you have started to not like strangers...or anyone who tries to hold you other than me and Daddy.  Although this makes us feel special it is embarrassing at times!  (so funny how you and Graham are so different when it comes to strangers and attention- exact opposites).  You love music and books.  "5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" is your favorite book.  You are constantly moving and kicking your left foot.  We have to watch you very closely if you are in your glider (while we read) or on the changing table because you are a little rolly polly. You are getting really good at the "tripod" sit too!  You have become attached to your elephant lovie and have to have it to sleep with.  You hold it in your hand while you suck your thumb....the sweetest thing ever!  You are still our crazy little girl.  We do like the fact that you are a little rowdy and not too dainty for a girl.  You love being tossed around and tickled and hung upside down...thats when you laugh the most.

Happy 7 months to my happy twinkies!

Twins supporting the Ta-Ta's

We went as a family this morning to uptown Charlotte and participated in the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer walk.  We have several family friends who are now survivors of Breast Cancer and we couldn't think of a better cause to support on a beautiful Saturday morning.
We walked in honor of Anni's mom who spent the last year battling breast cancer and just finished her last round of treatment!!!  What a great way to celebrate her strength and health!  Anni also has boy/girl twins!  We got lots of attention throughout the race.

Not sure how many people participated but people were decked out in pink as far as I could see!
I am still in awe of all the women who battle this disease and come out to support one another with smiles on their faces!  What a great way to spend a Saturday morning!

Musical Mondays

We have been going every Monday to Music Together in Charlotte for about a month now.  Although we are the youngest in the class, I am so glad I decided to go ahead and do this class.  The kids LOVE music and their faces light up now when they hear one of the songs we sing in class.
A lot of the activities include holding or playing with your child so we bring the Bumbo seat and I take turns with the twins!
Several of our friends are in the class with us.  Hard to get a pic of these two boys cause they are constantly moving!  Carter and James love music too!
Their favorite part is dancing around the room and the Welcome Song when they say each childs name. Sharing the tambourine....
 Playing the drums....
Music wears these guys out!  They both pass out on the short drive home:)
Hope they always love music this much!!!
